We built xyzEditor to set a standard for privacy: fast, secure, and fully under your control.
1. The Core Principle
We do not see, store, or transmit your data.
Most online editors send your keystrokes to a cloud server to save them. xyzEditor is different. It runs entirely as a client-side application within your web browser. When you type, the data stays in your device's memory. When you save, it is written to your browser's local storage database.
2. Data Collection
Since we do not run a backend database for user content, we collect:

- 0 Personal Information
3. Local Storage & Analytics
We utilize standard web technologies strictly for functionality and performance monitoring:
- Local Storage: We use your browser's
localStorageAPI to persist your work between visits. This data exists solely on your device. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser cache. - Anonymous Analytics: We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and page loads. This service does not use cookies or local storage, does not collect personal information, and cannot track you across other websites.
4. Hosting & Infrastructure
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver the site securely, Cloudflare may process basic technical data (such as IP addresses) at the network edge. This data is used solely for security (DDoS protection) and operational stability, not for user profiling.
5. Third-Party Libraries
To provide features like Maths typesetting and Diagrams, we utilize open-source libraries (KaTeX, Mermaid). These are bundled with our application and executed locally on your machine. They do not "phone home" with your content.
6. Changes to this Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our technology or legal requirements. Since we do not collect email addresses, we advise users to check this page periodically for updates.
